Since our inception in September, 1997, Elmhurst Junior Women’s Club has supported the Elmhurst community and beyond both through service and by raising funds for charitable organizations.

The Elmhurst Kitchen Expedition began in 2000 and has become our largest fundraiser.  This first floor only house walk, allows the public to view several Elmhurst homes with spectacular kitchens.  It's a house walk with a culinary twist!  In our first year, proceeds were just under $10,000.  Over the 10 years we have hosted this event, EJWC has raised over $156,000 for local charities.  Proceeds have benefitted the following organizations: Elmhurst Walk-In Ministry, Elmhurst Children’s Assistance Foundation, United Community Concerns, A Special Wish Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, and the EJWC Scholarship Fund.

Tickled Pink is an exclusive boutique-vendor fair experience which EJWC began hosting in 2004.  The event was originally designed to increase awareness of breast cancer and has developed into a poplar multi-generation ladies night out.  Past beneficiaries have included the Breast Cancer Center at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital, DuPage County Health Department's "Why Wait?" Program, Wellness House of Hinsdale, and the EJWC Scholarship Fund.  This wonderful event has raised over $25,000 since its inception.

Elmhurst Junior Women’s Club is able to offer college scholarships to worthy Elmhurst high school women due to our successful fundraisers.   Candidates must be young women who are seniors in high school, residents of Elmhurst and they must exhibit an exceptional commitment to volunteerism, leadership and academics.  In 2003, EJWC renamed the scholarship fund “The Brenda Grabacki Memorial Scholarship” in memory of a member who lost her courageous battle against cancer that year.

Elmhurst Junior Women’s Club is proud:
